Q: What is the threading on the Water Jet Nozzles?
  A: All sizes of the Water Jet Nozzles have a 1-1/4” NPSM thread for the blast media/air hose connection.

Q: Is a special adapter needed to connect the Water Jet hose assembly to the water supply?
  A: No, the Water Jet Nozzle’s hose assembly was designed to connect to standard garden hoses & taps.

Q: How long does a Water Jet Nozzle last?
  A: The Water Jet Nozzle loses its original bore diameter after about 500 hours of use (for example a #5 nozzle with a 5/16” bore will wear down to a #6 nozzle’s bore of 3/8” & so on).

Q: Is the Blasting Glass Media compliant with OSHA’s regulations?
  A: Yes, not only does the Blasting Glass Media comply with OSHA’s Crystalline Silica Rule but also complies with OSHA’s recently enacted Beryllium Standard.

Q: What quantities is the Blasting Glass Media available in?
  A: The Blasting Glass Media is available for sale in 50lbs bags, 3,000lbs Super Sacks, as well as bulk loaded into a pneumatic trailer (a pneumatic trailer holds approx. 21 tons).

Q: Does the Blasting Glass Media require special equipment or training to switch over?
  A: The Blasting Glass Media is able to be used with the majority of blasting equipment & doesn’t require any special parts to switch over. There will be a slight learning curve for blasters switching over to the Blasting Glass Media depending on the previous media they used. The most common problem is the Blasting Glass Media cutting too aggressively compared to previously used media. This is easily remedied in most cases with a few simple changes; such as increasing the blasting distance (if normally basting from a 3 to 5 foot distance increase it to a 6 to 8 foot distance), reducing air pressure (90 psi is the recommended air pressure for Blasting Glass Media), or switching to a finer size. In some cases a combination of these remedies is needed to correct aggressive cutting.
